- Dr. Wendy Flint — Biography Dr. Wendy Flint is an author, chaplain, professor, executive leader, HR specialist, and strengths coach with more than three decades of experience at the intersection of business, education, and leadership development. Her career reflects a rare blend of corporate executive leadership, higher education teaching, and faith-integrated service. Dr. Flint brings 35 years of experience in corporate human resources, specializing in training and development, instructional design, and organizational implementation within large organizations and private companies, including Hewlett-Packard. In addition, she has spent 26 years as a business owner, serving as an executive coach and career strategist to leaders navigating career transitions, organizational change, and professional growth. Her executive experience also includes seven years as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales, where she led strategic growth initiatives and high-performing teams. In higher education, Dr. Flint has served as adjunct faculty for 27 years across four academic programs and colleges. She is currently in her ninth year at George Fox University, where she has held key leadership roles, including Director of Career and Academic Planning and Director of the Undergraduate Program in the College of Business. She also serves as Assistant Professor of Management, teaching across undergraduate, adult degree, MBA, and DBA programs. Her undergraduate teaching includes courses in Principles of Management, Leadership and Character, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Organizational Leadership, and Navigating College to Career. In George Fox University’s Adult Degree Program, she teaches courses focused on mentoring, technology and media, career advancement, professional identity, research methods for managers, and operations management. At the graduate level, Dr. Flint teaches HR Development and High-Performance Organizations and Leading and Managing Organizations in the MBA program, as well as Business Consulting and Teaching and HR Development in the DBA program. Dr. Flint holds a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Teaching and Learning from Capella University, along with an MBA, an MPA in Public Administration from Washington State University, and a BA in Communications with a specialization in Corporate Training from Marylhurst University. She also holds a Basic Chaplaincy Certification from George Fox University and is frequently invited to provide prayer and spiritual leadership at university convocations, commencements, and academic ceremonies. As an advocate and ambassador for AI in Higher Education, Dr. Flint focuses on integrating artificial intelligence across the curriculum in ways that promote critical thinking, ethical leadership, and deep learning. Her work emphasizes using AI to amplify human judgment and curiosity rather than replace it, preparing students and faculty for thoughtful engagement in an evolving professional landscape. Wendy and her husband Terry live in Dundee, Oregon, are Vietnam War Veterans, U.S. Navy and both served in the Portland Air National Guard. They have three children and six grandchildren.
